Roughly a 30 minute drive away on the motorway, from Muscat, Al-Hail city centre in Oman is the older of the 2 city centres that the sultanate of Oman has to boast. Inside there is a food court, a kids mini arcade with a few rides (Magic planet) for 200 baiser you can purchase a card that allows you to top up credits to swipe the card for the rides.
Like City Centre Qurum, here is also a large Carrefour Hypermarket inside City Centre Al-Hail. The shops are more varied and aimed at all budgets, you will be able to take a look at centrepoint and imax clothing shops , which in a way are comparable to Primark in the UK. Muscat city centre Al-Hail is the older of two city centres that Oman boasts. The doors to the centre opened in 2001. The Muscat city centre is the first supermall that was built for the country. It is definitely a major tourist attraction for anyone that finds themselves in Muscat.
The Muscat city centre has been voted the best retailer in Oman by business today. Not only were they voted the best centre for a year’s time, more like three consecutive years back to back. Recently expanded, the natives of Oman are hoping that tourists will admire their supermall as much as they do.
The mega expansion that the Muscat centre underwent in 2007, costs Muscat, Oman approximately 22.5 million dollars to complete. The expansion added an addition 60,484 square meters to the mall, and this new wing was opened to the public as of September 2007.
The city centre truly unleashes everything that it has to please tourists and shoppers alike. The centre is full of shopping pavilions, dining locations and entertainment. The centre is clearly becoming a main highlight for all Oman citizens. But, don’t take our word for it, check it out yourself.
Shopping- There are over 100 different stores available in Al-Hail Oman city centre. All of the stores stock only the finest top brands from all around the world. To give you an example of some brands you can expect to find while perusing through the Muscat city centre, some of the most popular names in the mall are Nine West, Mango, and many others.
However, your shopping experience does not need to cease at fashion. Oman’s largest electronic store is located in the barriers of this center as well. Emax, offers all the finest electronic products on the market, you will not believe how competitive the prices at this electronic store are!
Dining- If all the shopping tires you out, you can stop and eat at one of the 16 fast food outlets that are offered to mall patrons. You will have your choice between steaks at Chilis, pizza, fried chicken, or the Magic Wok just to name a few. The Muscat city centre has even announced that they will be adding more eateries to their menu very soon.
Entertainment- Muscat city centre is definitely a venue that the entire family will enjoy. Magic Planet brings the excitement to life for everyone in your party. Regardless if you’re looking for something that your kids will enjoy, or if you’re a kid at heart, Magic Planet has you covered.
