For youngsters there is a small splash pool that’s knee deep, the great thing is it’s also under cover so you are at least shaded from the intensity of the hot Oman sun.

Behind the kiddies pool is a swimming pool especially for people that want to train and swim laps. It isn’t the largest pool and hardly comparable to Olympic swimming pools, however it will suffice!

To be honest if you are in the Oman environment the best place to be is inside the cooling water other wise you could possibly be burnt to a crisp. Intercontinental hotel in Oman is a great place to relax.

The third swimming pool, is shaped like a figure of 8 and is quite large, this pool is also outdoors and has no shade, so it’s important that you apply heaps of sunscreen. The kids will love this pool.

There is also a great waiter service so instead of having to move from your sun lounger you can simply bring the food to the lounger and relax!


Beverages are not too expensive, Intercontinental Hotel in Oman is aimed at those who aren’t sparse on spending, and if you are on a budget holiday it’s perhaps not the place for you to visit.
